Background Storyline

I have decided to put into play a storyline that sums up how the roleplay basically came into being, linking the twenty years between when the last books ends (the bit before the nineteen years later bit). This storyline is a little bit fancyful and imaginative I will gladly admit that but I had difficulty writing in a way that would show how all the book character kinda died out and enw witches and wizards came into being.

After the death of the dark lord at the hands of one, Harold James Potter it seemed that things would be fine, there was finally going to be peace and prosperity in the land, the Ministry was revamped with Kingsley Shacklebolt at the helm, Minerva McGonagall became the new Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry and all seemed well in the wizarding world.

Then is struck, some ancient curse put in place by the dark lord in case he was ever defeated, a most dark of magics, a plague that struck down the one who vanquished the dark lord and then spread like wildfire. (This plague eventualls kills off all the named book wizards)

There seemed like no hope for many, those closest to Harry Potter where struck down the fastest; being killed almost instantly by the curse, a magical cross between the bubonic plague and dragon pox. Then one man came forth with a solution, Octulus Lestrange came forther wielding a sceptre that had a power that was feared but also respected and wanted by many around the world. He cast a spell to save all of those who had never met Harry James Potter from the curse, the spell took it's toll on him and left him very weak. After this act though the curse died out, there had been a huge cull in the numbers of wizards left in Britain.

There where however enough wizards left over to keep the magic going. Hogwarts was reformed with some differences, instead of one head of the school two would lead the school, one headmaster and one headmistress, Trinity Lestrange and Jay Trelawney helped to found the new school, in the plague and the turmoil afterwards the original building had been destroyed so they set about building a new school.

They where helped by Liberty Steele and Leon Brooks to form the school, is was these two that took the positions of the two Deputies underneath the two founders. They also decided to revive an old position. The position of High Inquisitor, the High Inquisitor would help to ensure any staff hired at the school would be suitable to teach and make sure they taught the students well.

They also hired an advisor to help them run the school and make decisions within the school. It was this advisor, Rennik Fairfellow who later went on to be the Hogwarts headmaster after the departure of Jay Trelawney.

The ministry was overhauled, after saving the wizarding world from the curse Octulus Lestrange went on to become the minister of magic, under him the ministry became like a well oiled machine, efficient to the point of being unnatural.

Thie worked well for a few years, there was a minor period of depression as a new wizard stepped into play to proclaim himself as the new Dark Lord. This new Dark Lord led a small reign of terror that eventually fizzled out to nothing. Two groups also sprung into being, the Order of the Phoenix and the Order of the Serpent these two groups attempted to gain power and influence.
